Screen Protector vs. Case: What Actually Protects Your Phone?
The short answer: you want both. Here's why, and what to look for in each.
We see a lot of broken phones, so we've learned what protection works.
Cases protect corners and edges
Most screens crack from drops that land on a corner. A case with raised edges and reinforced corners absorbs that impact. Look for a lip that sits slightly above the screen and camera.
Screen protectors protect the glass
A tempered glass protector takes the scratches and cracks so your real screen doesn't have to. Replacing a protector costs a fraction of a screen repair.
What we recommend
- A tempered glass protector, installed bubble-free (we'll do it for you in store).
- A case with raised edges and solid corners.
- A camera lens protector if your phone has a large camera bump.
